Thank you for Reading!

Hi Friends,

First of all – I don’t know if I’ve ever said “thank you” for reading! It is a privilege to be able to publicly write… and the fact that anyone actually reads what I write is very humbling.

Today is not a normal blog post… instead I want to share a little of my heart with you regarding my writing, and ask you to help me in a few ways.

Feedback

I recently joined a writing group, called Hope*Writers, as a way to learn and grow in my writing, but also to receive encouragement and bounce ideas off of other writers.

One thing Hope*Writers talks a lot about is really listening to our audience and focusing more on how to best serve them, rather than just writing what I feel like writing.

So, my first request to you is for feedback. If there is a theme I touch on that resonates with you, it is so helpful to hear that! Or if there is a topic you’d like addressed – I’d love to hear that as well.

I know that many of you are walking through hard things, or that you pass this blog on to your friends who are hurting. I pray every time I post that what I write will encourage your hearts. But the better I understand who is reading here – the better I’ll be able to serve you. So please, don’t hesitate to comment here, on Facebook or by email. I really do take your feedback to heart.

Subscribe

My second request is that if you’ve been following along here at all regularly, would you be willing to “subscribe”? There is a “subscribe” option in the right hand bar of the blog – where you put in your email, and then every time I post it will show up in your email in-box.

I have made a (loose) goal of posting once a week on here – with baby #4 about to arrive any day, the posting may be more sporadic for awhile. But, as of now I do not foresee posting any more frequently than once a week – so you don’t have to worry about me flooding your inbox!

This year one of my other goals is to reach out to my subscribers and find ways to thank you for being here and giving me feedback. And it will be easier for me to interact with you if you’re on the email list!

Share

As much as I hate some of the stuff our family is walking through, God has clearly shown me that He is using it for His glory and purposes. This little space on the internet gives me a very real way of participating in that.

Tied to that, is another one of my goals this year – which is to find practical ways to serve other moms who have become “medical moms”. Whether that’s through resources, or encouragement or something else I haven’t thought of yet!

So, my third request is – will you please continue to send your “medical mom” friends this way? I hope to learn from them, and encourage them as we walk these challenging roads together. And my prayer is continually that I can be used to offer even a little bit of hope in the midst of their hardest trials.

I hope that all makes sense. I want your feedback, I’d be humbled by your subscribing, and I’d be honored if you’d pass this blog on to your hurting friends.

Thank you so much for reading friends! Have a wonderful weekend!

Love, Marissa

I love hearing from you!
