Another Opinion

Thank you again for walking with us through this process. We are exhausted, but feeling at peace tonight.

We took pages of notes with the Wilms tumor Specialists today… but the very condensed version is that they believe we are in good hands with our current team. They said that Alice’s tumor does have two very rare aspects to it that make it more aggressive, but that the new treatment plan our team laid out for us last week is the same one the specialists in Houston would have put us on. The new plan is more intense than what we have been on, but it’s still considered “mid level” and they expect that Alice will do well both in the short term and the long term – and do not think we need to switch our care.

Prayer Requests:
Tomorrow we go in for her 4th treatment at 10:30am. She will be getting the new (3rd) drug tomorrow for the first time – and it’s expected to make her feel pretty poorly.
And, the new plan includes radiation to the site where they removed her kidney – and that radiation needs to happen as soon as possible – so please pray that we can start that this coming week (it will likely be 5-7 days in a row of radiation).
