God’s Word: God’s Promises and Christ’s Love
Have you ever wondered why modern day people bother reading the Bible? Have you ever assumed that the Bible is too old to have relevance to your life?
Maybe you’ve tried reading it, or you’ve even studied it years ago, but things never “clicked” or you’ve drifted out of the habit.
Or perhaps your sufferings have created too many questions and doubts in your mind, and have allowed bitterness and anger to take root. Perhaps you are in a season of being mad at God and don’t want to read what he has to say.
Wherever you are today… I’d love to encourage you that God’s word is worth reading. It’s worth studying. It’s worth memorizing and “hiding in your heart”.
I had the privilege of sharing one example of how God’s word made a difference in my life and in my heart over at Sacred Story Ministries. It’s a very honest glimpse into my process of listening to the Lord, struggling with unbelief, and trusting that God’s word speaks a greater truth than my feelings.
I hope you’ll hop over and read it and that it will encourage you to pick up your Bible this week.

I love seeing the ways that God goes ahead of us. Preparing our hearts and minds for what only He can know is ahead. It is such a good reminder of His loving care.
