A Good Day

Today has been a sweet day.

Claire and I got out of the house a bit today. Alice got to spend time helping my dad in the yard (yard/outdoor work is Alice’s love language). And Evelyn got lots of snuggles from my mom.

Alice feels good today. And I am so thankful.

Tomorrow is treatment #2. We are hopeful and much less anxious than last week. Tomorrow she will only be receiving one chemo medicine – and it is the less harsh of the two in her regimen, so we are hopeful that her side effects will be less intense this coming week.

Some specific prayer requests:
1. Evelyn has a cold. And of course normally that wouldn’t be a big deal… but now it is. Or it could be. Will you please pray that Alice doesn’t get it?

2. Claire is going to come with me and Alice tomorrow for the treatment. Will you please pray that Claire gets to spend some quality time with the Child Life Specialist… that Claire will not be scared/overwhelmed by seeing the other kids who are there getting their treatments… and that going will help her no longer feel like she is “missing” out on something on the weeks she won’t be allowed to come with us.

3. Please pray for Rob and his work. He’s missed a lot of days of work over the last month and it’s starting to cause stress for him and the tasks he needs to catch up on… please pray for productivity, clarity of thinking, and favor with the other lawyers/his clients/judges and all the people who are involved in his cases.

Hugs,
m

I love hearing from you!
